An App that warns about crop pests

oSIGris is a mobile application designed by a Galician StartUp. It will help small and medium farmers protect their crops from pests and diseases. Thanks to the incorporation of Big Data technology and GIS systems this is an effective tool for the agricultural sector. 

Users introduce information about incidents into the application in this way they can collectively identify and warn each other of the areas plagued by pests. The application makes it possible to detect diseases in real time at a distance of 10km from the user’s crop.

It is a free and helpful service that alerts users and allows them to store information about their crops and consult the data provided by the weather station closest to their farm.

This is a great contribution to the digitization of the countryside, and especially for medium and small farmers who account for 75% of all farmers in Spain.
