The auto industry continues its digital transformation.
Groupe Renault has signed an agreement with Google to accelerate the digitisation of its automobile manufacturing industry. Thanks to this partnership and the use of Google Cloud, Renault will take another step forward in the implementation of industry 4.0 by sharing this industrial and technological development process with Google.
Renault has been using its own platform since 2017, and is one of the companies that has worked the hardest on its digital transformation. In fact, the group already has 2,500 machines connected worldwide. The use of Google Cloud systems will enhance this platform, improving the management of industry data.
The management of industrial data will allow the group to improve the supply chain and manufacturing, as well as the quality and sustainability of its production. All of this will be possible thanks to the experience that Google Cloud provides in areas such as smart analysis, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
To carry out the whole digital transformation process in the automobile industry, trained professionals are needed. Therefore, companies have begun to collaborate in new tech training applied to the industry, in this case the automotive industry.
At IoT DIH we help train new professionals in new technologies by offering internships at partner companies to students doing the BISITE-organized Master's Degrees at the University of Salamanca.
