Cloud computing in 2019 in Spain

According to the consultancy firm Quint, this year marks a high point in the use of the cloud in companies all over the world, making it a fundamental technological pillar for digital transformation. Its adoption had not progressed as rapidly as it had been initially expected, nonetheless, its importance and extent are clearly visible today. Companies use the cloud as a bridge to migrate and organise their structures, in search of a future total digitalisation of their processes. In addition, the report states that investment in this technology will increase greatly over the next 12 months.

Regarding to the use of cloud computing in Spain, the most important functions have been office automation (69%), processing capacity (65%) and storage (62%), the latter being the fastest growing function due to the need to manage vast amounts of data obtained through different platforms.
