IoT DIH collaborates with DIGIS3 to boost digitisation in Castilla y León

IoT Digital Innovation Hub is a member of DIGIS3, a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) established in Castilla y León. This initiative led by AIR Institute, arises as a result of the continuous growth of existing DIHs in the region and is formed by the Institute of Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE), the Digital Innovation Hub Industry 4.0 (DIHBU), the DIH-LEAF association, the Castilla y León Supercomputing Foundation (SCAYLE), the University of León.

Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) are groupings of entities that facilitate access to companies and public administration in a given territory to the information, services and facilities they need to successfully address their digital transformation processes. These have become one of the main tools of the European Commission to achieve the objectives set out in its digitisation strategy.

The overall objective of DIGIS3 is to ensure the smart, sustainable and cohesive digital transformation of SMEs and public administration entities in the region; with an urban and rural territorial scope focused on cohesion, through comprehensive support to users, facilitating their access to specialised technical knowledge and experimentation environments.

DIGIS3's mission is to become a point of knowledge and support at the service of SMEs and public administration entities in the region, to facilitate the digitisation of their processes by applying enabling digital technologies, relying on its fundamental pillars such as cooperation, talent, global sustainability and capillarity. To this end, it relies on different technologies, including:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • High Performance Computing (HPC)
  • Industry 4.0
  • Smart Renewables
  • Smart Agriculture
  • Circular Economy
  • Smart Cities and Territories
  • Electronic Administration and Data Spaces

Undoubtedly, this is an excellent opportunity to boost digitalisation and thus strengthen the Castilla y León’s business network.
