IoT DIH participates in a meeting with Digital Innovation Hubs from European countries to strengthen knowledge sharing
IoT DIH, as part of the European Digital Innovation Hub DIGIS3, participated in the first "Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) to strengthen knowledge exchange with SNS community and collaboration". The event was held online together with other DIHs to foster collaboration, thus aligning with the objective of DIGIS3, of which IoT DIH is part along with other centers and universities such as the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE), DIHBU, DIH-LEAF, AIR Institute, University of León and the Supercomputing Center of Castilla y León (SCAYLE).
The 6G-IA association brings together a global industry community of telecommunications and digital technology players, such as research institutes, universities, SMEs and other associations, carrying out a series of activities such as this meeting in strategic areas such as R&D projects, technological competencies and international cooperation, among others.
IoT DIH has been included in the European Commission's Smart Specialisation Platform. Its objective is to help companies, especially SMEs, to become more competitive by adopting Internet of Things technologies to apply them in their processes. To this end, it offers technical advice, access to funding opportunities, laboratories and equipment, participation in the development of innovative projects and training programs, among other services.
The day aims to develop the necessary connections between end users (industries) and technology providers to drive innovation and technology application. With this goal in mind, different initiatives are being developed focused on technology supplier mapping and replicability. The event included presentations on replicability initiatives, smart connectivity, smart manufacturing and the "DIH journey", led by Javier Parra, Chief Scientist of Economic Area of IoT DIH.
