Presentation of Blockchain in ERRIN Meeting Event, held in Brussels

On June 14, there was a meeting about the blockchain promoted by ERRIN. Founded in 2001, ERRIN is a unique platform based in Brussels of more than 120 interested regional organizations, most of which are represented by their offices. ERRIN promotes the exchange of knowledge among its members, focusing on joint actions and project partnerships to strengthen regional research and innovation capacities. Through these actions, ERRIN seeks to contribute to the implementation of the Europe 2020 Strategy, the flagship initiative of the Union for Innovation and Smart Specialization strategies.

In particular, one of our representatives from the USAL, Javier Prieto Tejedor, gave a talk to present the blockchain technology applied to the business environment. Among others, we highlight the presentations of Lynkeus, who presented a work that fuses the blockchain to improve medical services, or Chiara Mazzone, of the European Commission of the European Blockchain Observatory (https://www.eublockchainforum.eu/), which emphasized the present and future of blockchain technology in the business world. We also want to make a special mention to the Institute for Business Competitiveness (ICE) of Castilla y León, for facilitating contact and this international meeting.
