The use of new technologies in healthcare
The governments of Canary Islands and Valencia have signed an agreement to promote a precision medicine project that will work with Big Data and P4 Med BigData. This project seeks to develop an ICT solution to be implemented in the health system. Specifically, it will be an intelligent tool that will support medical diagnosis based on predictive knowledge.
This project seeks to bring the latest technological innovations to the world of medicine, for improved, highly personalised medical diagnostics. This project seeks to bring the latest technological innovations to the world of medicine, facilitating and enhancing their use through improved and highly customized treatments. Furthermore, it aims to make the administration more efficient, especially for the promotion of research.
Thus, the project responds to two challenges, on the one hand, it provides an interface for communication between patients and the health system and, on the other hand, it helps develop tools to support biomedical decisions and predictive data analysis.
The project will help healthcare providers carry out the medical evaluation and prevent possible relapses or deterioration of the patient's state of health. In addition, it will allow for a more personalized approach in diagnosis and treatment.
At the IoT Digital Innovation Hub we work to implement technological elements that promote the efficiency and quality of systems such as the health system.
