Workshop on Artificial Intelligence for Industry at PAAMS International Conference 2023

This year marks the 21st PAAMS International Conference on Practical Applications of Agents and Multiagent Systems, which provides an international forum to present and discuss the latest scientific advances and their effective applications, evaluate the impact of the approach and facilitate technology transfer.

PAAMS intends to bring together researchers and developers from industry and academia to report on the latest scientific and technical advances in the application of multi-agent systems, discuss and debate key issues, and showcase the latest systems using agent-based technology.

Several workshops will be held during PAAMS 2023, one of which is entitled "Artificial Intelligence for Industry (AI4Industry) Workshop". This workshop aims to be a forum for discussion on the latest trends and current challenges in the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the field of industry. It seeks to connect AI practitioners and researchers and foster knowledge dissemination, in particular by showing how artificial intelligence approaches can be applied in the industrial sector.

Importance of Artificial Intelligence for Industry

Digitalization is transforming most businesses in the public and private spheres. In particular, industry has rapidly adopted physical IoT systems, which has generated huge amounts of raw data. As a result, industrial organizations are accumulating massive volumes of data which, if explored with the appropriate artificial intelligence techniques, can significantly improve decision making support across all processes. This offers new opportunities for industrial organizations to reduce costs, improve efficiency and transform their operations for the better.

PAAMS welcomes submissions and gives preference to the topics listed in the call for papers. All submitted papers will undergo a thorough review process; each paper will be refereed by at least three experts in the field for relevance, originality, significance, quality and clarity.

Papers must consist of solid original, relevant and unpublished research results related to any of the conference themes. The best papers will be published in an expanded and improved version of the demonstration paper in the journal Advances in Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence (ADCAIJ).
